Ellington House Residence
The project is a 3BHK penthouse at Ellington House One, UAE, designed for a couple, with Farah as the primary client who is highly involved and detail-oriented. The scope includes the living, dining, entrance foyer, corridor, two guest bedrooms, master bedroom (priority for early execution), a study converted from the maid’s room, and a compact laundry, while the kitchen, bathrooms, and balconies remain largely untouched. The design direction aims for a refined blend of modern contemporary with subtle neo-classical and art deco influences, creating a timeless, classy, and quiet luxury aesthetic. The client prefers high-quality finishes, a mix of wood and stone, subtle jewel tones (especially greens), and clean spaces enhanced with statement elements like wall mouldings, lighting, and curated décor. The living and dining areas will focus on flexible layouts, firm seating, layered lighting with a false ceiling, and potential features like a flush TV and fireplace, while the corridor will be enhanced to avoid a cold, plain look. Bedrooms will remain elegant and minimal, with the master bedroom receiving primary focus. Overall, the design must balance comfort and sophistication, maintain visual cohesion, and be presented interactively to the client throughout the process.
