Project Intention:

Ahmet intends to create Numo Cafe which is a modest but cozy urban lounge in a mix of Japanese-themed aesthetics and a modern cafe lounge. The concept is on the service of bubble tea, specialty coffee, and ready-to-eat Japanese snacks in a quiet and milky white atmosphere. The design aims to maximize the space with a tree like ambient environment that is easy and friendly at the same time attracting both the quick commuters and other casual visitors.
Lifestyle preferences: Practical, but current; any like clean style and productivity.
Design sense/style: Scandinavian-Japanese Minimalism (“Milky White” with forest and wood)

About this Space

Numo Cafe or Sips & Spirits cafe is the first ever cafe project. The project was indeed an exciting one. The project brief from the client was clear. The design had to be clear, minimal, clean and open visually. There should be influences from Japandi style which would create a calm ambience. The hero feature of the cafe was the greenery from the ceiling. It created the organic canopy which helped to soften the space and framed the Numo signage. In addition, soft green banquette upholstery, arched backlights, pebble style aesthetics, sleek fluted corners with concealed lighting the cafe emerges as a quiet space to hangout. The key challenges were to navigate the RTA fire-rated compliance, fitting the equipment, ensuring digital menu visibility. Each issue has been handled seamlessly without disrupting the aesthetics. Authority approval delays had affected the timelines. But the final result was as per the client vision. It emerged as an effortless inviting cafe which people will love.
