Key Responsibilities
2) Crawl & Index Optimization: Monitor and optimize crawl budgets, manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, canonical tags, and handle redirect strategy (301, 302, 404 management).
3) Core Web Vitals & Performance: Partner with front-end developers to improve site speed, Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID/INP, CLS), and overall mobile-friendliness.
4) Structured Data Implementation: Define and implement advanced Schema markup (JSON-LD) to enhance rich snippet visibility in SERPs.
5) Site Architecture & Internal Linking: Optimize website hierarchy, URL structures, and internal linking frameworks to distribute link equity effectively.
6) Log File Analysis: Analyze server log files to understand search engine bot behavior and identify crawling inefficiencies.
7) International & JavaScript SEO: Manage multilingual/multi-regional SEO setups (hreflang tags) and troubleshoot rendering issues associated with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).
8) Reporting & Monitoring: Track, analyze, and report on organic performance, indexation status, and crawl errors using Google Search Console and other analytics tools.
Skills & Qualifications
2) SEO Tool Proficiency: Mastery of technical SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl (Lumar), Botify, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics 4.
3) Web Development Basics: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and a strong understanding of how JavaScript impacts SEO.
4) Data & Analytics Skills: Ability to manipulate large datasets using Excel, Google Sheets, or SQL to extract actionable SEO insights.
5) Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Excellent analytical skills to diagnose complex backend issues and the communication skills required to explain technical requirements clearly to developers.
6) CMS Familiarity: Experience working with popular Content Management Systems (WordPress, Shopify, Magento) and headless CMS configurations.
Experience
2+ years of experience dedicated specifically to Technical SEO or a combined background in Web Development and SEO.
Proven track record of successfully managing migrations (domain or CMS), resolving critical indexing drops, and optimizing large-scale websites (10,000+ pages).
