M Residence is a 1229 sq ft Modern Contemporary 2BHK apartment design in Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai. The plan carries a living and dining area, a compact kitchen composition, a master bedroom, a guest bedroom that doubles as a home study, and a terrace, held to a single cohesive design language.
The palette runs pale grey stone accents, fluted wood detailing, warm neutral upholstery, matte black accents on lighting and hardware, and layered pendant compositions through every zone as the atmospheric register.

Our story
The brief was for a modern, elegant and highly liveable residence that would balance sophistication with practical everyday functionality within a compact 1229 sq ft footprint.
The existing civil layout was to remain unchanged, requiring the design to work entirely within the given spatial framework. This constraint placed greater importance on efficient furniture planning, considered joinery detailing, and thoughtful use of every wall composition.
The guest bedroom was to function primarily as a home study while remaining flexible enough to accommodate occasional guests. The kitchen, wall finishes, lighting and bathroom compositions all required considered solutions that would deliver visual impact without over-personalising the residence.
Materials, furniture and finishes were to be selected for their visual quality, durability and long term value rather than short term trends. The intent was a timeless residential composition that would hold its appeal over the full life of the apartment.
Read as considered two bedroom apartment design in Dubai at this scale, the real request was refined contemporary residence with broad appeal held to a single cohesive design language.
The primary challenge was delivering a premium visual appearance while holding the residence to a practical residential scale. A 1229 sq ft apartment cannot carry decorative excess. Every element had to earn its place inside the composition rather than accumulate as furniture.
The existing civil layout could not be modified. This placed greater importance on efficient furniture planning and spatial detailing than would have been required on a project where walls could be moved to solve a design problem.
Since construction was still in its early stages during the design phase, actual site photographs and video walkthroughs were not available. The layout had to be developed against available project information and show apartment references rather than measured site conditions.
The absence of CAD drawings added a further constraint. Every dimension had to be verified against available reference material, and each joinery run and furniture placement drawn conservatively enough to accommodate reasonable site variation without redesign.
Balancing broad appeal with distinctive character was the final discipline. The residence needed to hold enough atmospheric register to feel considered while avoiding over-personalisation that would limit its long term visual life.
Euphoria Interiors resolved the plan around efficient furniture planning and considered joinery detailing, which is the correct starting point when the civil layout cannot be changed and every square foot has to earn its place.

At M Residence the furniture was planned before the joinery. The living dining seating composition was tested against the room dimensions first, then the TV wall and fluted accent were drawn against the resolved seating layout, and finally the ceiling lighting composition was drawn against the resolved room composition.
The result is a residence where every element sits in the correct proportional relationship to every other element. The plan reads as one considered composition rather than a set of furniture arranged against fixed walls.
Because a residence that reads as one specific person's taste limits its long term appeal. Over-personalisation delivers a strong moment at handover, but the residence has to hold its atmospheric register through years of use and any future transitions.

The compact 2 BHK footprint kept the calendar tight rather than complex. Fewer rooms meant fewer parallel workstreams than a villa, but each decision carried more weight because there was less surrounding surface to absorb any weak element.
The palette was locked at concept stage. Once the pale grey stone, fluted wood, warm neutral upholstery and matte black accent register were fixed, each room could be specified against a known material range rather than chosen from scratch. Eleven weeks worked because the shell decisions were resolved at concept stage rather than adjusted midway through delivery.
