Why studio owners choose Euphoria Interiors?

The difference is visible in the work.

Every reason we ask you to trust us with your studio apartment interior design, you can see in the completed projects below. Here is what makes our studio apartment interior design company different.

01

Studio specialists who understand that small demands more, not less

Designing a studio apartment well is harder than designing a villa. Every decision is visible from every other point in the space simultaneously. Over 10 years of residential work has taught us the specific discipline that small-format luxury demands.

Concepts built around your life in one room, not around the floor plan

The same 480 sqft studio layout in the same JVC building has produced completely different design solutions for three different clients in the last two years. The brief drives the concept. The floor plan is the canvas, not the idea.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a studio apartment interior design project in Dubai take?
From briefing to handover, a studio project runs 8 to 22 weeks depending on scope. Interior design only on a new handover studio of 380 to 600 sqft typically completes in 8 to 14 weeks, a full fit-out from bare condition runs 14 to 22 weeks, and a complete renovation involving kitchen or bathroom reconfiguration takes 16 to 30 weeks. You receive a zone-by-zone milestone timeline before any contract is signed.
What does studio apartment interior design in Dubai typically cost?
For a Dubai studio of 380 to 600 sqft, interior design only on a new handover runs AED 80,000 to AED 180,000. A full fit-out runs AED 180,000 to AED 380,000, and a complete renovation starts from AED 280,000. The primary cost variable is the proportion of custom joinery to off-the-shelf furniture. Every project begins with a full itemised brief covering every zone and every custom piece.
Do you manage contractors and site work for studio projects?
Yes. Full project management, including contractor coordination, custom joinery fabrication scheduling, material delivery sequencing and on-site quality control, is included as standard. Amanda Dsouza personally reviews progress at milestone points on every project we take on.
What is different about designing a studio versus a larger apartment?
A studio has no room separation, so every design decision is visible simultaneously from every other zone. Zone definition without walls, furniture at correct scale, lighting as the primary spatial division tool, and custom joinery that makes every wall perform a function are a distinct discipline, not an adaptation of standard residential design.
Can Euphoria Interiors design studios outside Dubai?
Yes. We have completed residential and studio projects across 14 cities including Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Mumbai, London and Nairobi. For studios outside Dubai we travel for site visits at concept stage, design development and key execution milestones.

Explore residential design services

You saved 400 references. You spoke to three designers. You were told to get a murphy bed.

You are not going to get a murphy bed. Not because murphy beds do not work anywhere, they work in some very specific configurations. But because every designer who recommended one to you skipped a step. They looked at your floor plan and produced a solution before understanding the problem.

The problem is not that your studio is small. The problem is that nobody has yet understood what your specific life inside it requires.

You work from home two days a week. You cook properly on Sundays. You have a partner who stays over four nights a week. You own a cat. You occasionally host four people for dinner, and right now that dinner happens in a space where your guests eat facing the kitchen appliances.

That is the brief. Not “480 sqft studio in JVC”. The brief is: a studio that handles all of those things with confidence, so you stop apologising for it.

Why does your studio feel the way it does right now? A studio apartment feels small for one of two reasons. Either it genuinely lacks the square footage for how the occupant lives, or it has no zones. No zones means every activity competes for the same undefined space. Zone definition is the foundational act of studio apartment interior design.

What to do right now: write down every activity you do in your studio, by time of day. Note which activities conflict with each other. That conflict list is your actual brief.

Three tricks designers keep recommending for studios that stop working within two weeks

These three recommendations appear in almost every studio proposal in Dubai. Each one photographs well and fails in daily life.

  • Mirror panels. Mirror panels make a studio look larger in a photograph. Living inside them is a different experience: after roughly ten to fourteen days, most people find the constant reflection not spacious but exhausting. What works instead: reflective surfaces used at transitions, not as wallpaper.
  • The murphy bed. Most murphy bed owners stop using the mechanism within six months. The bed stays down, and now you own an expensive wall cabinet you sleep in front of. A properly zoned sleeping area beats a disappearing bed that never disappears.
  • The open-plan kitchen island. In most sub-500 sqft studios, an island narrows the circulation path to around 600mm. It reads as luxury in a render and behaves as an obstacle at 7am.

None of these are wrong everywhere. They are wrong as defaults, and a studio apartment interior design specialist should be able to explain exactly which problem each element solves for how you live.

What to do right now: the next time a designer presents mirrors, a murphy bed or a kitchen island, ask one question: what problem is each solving for how I live on a Thursday morning?

An honest lesson from a 450 sqft JVC studio

In early 2023 we completed a 450 sqft studio in JVC for a client who worked from home three days a week, cooked seriously, and had a partner who stayed over regularly. The zones worked, the joinery worked, the kitchen worked.

Three weeks after handover, she called us. The workspace was not working. The screen faced the window, and by mid-morning the glare made the desk unusable, so she had migrated to the dining table, which unravelled the zone logic of the whole studio.

We repositioned the lighting setup and the work zone orientation. The change took less than three hours. What changed permanently in our process: we now ask every studio client where their primary work screen will sit and which direction they will face, at concept stage, before a single zone is drawn.

We tell you this openly because transparency is cheaper than perfection theatre. Any studio apartment interior design company in Dubai that claims nothing has ever needed adjusting after handover is describing a portfolio, not a practice. What matters is how fast and how completely the firm responds when real life tests the design.

What studio apartment interior design in Dubai actually costs

For a Dubai studio apartment of 380 to 600 sqft, the honest ranges from our completed projects look like this. Interior design only, on a new handover, runs AED 80,000 to AED 180,000 across 8 to 14 weeks. A full fit-out from bare condition runs AED 180,000 to AED 380,000 across 14 to 22 weeks. A complete renovation involving kitchen or bathroom reconfiguration starts from AED 280,000 and takes 16 to 30 weeks.

The primary cost variable in a studio is the proportion of custom joinery to off-the-shelf furniture. Custom joinery is what makes a wall perform a function, a bed zone hold storage, and a workspace disappear at 7pm. It is also the line item that separates a designed studio from a furnished one.

A properly designed studio is also an asset decision. In Dubai’s high-demand communities, a professionally designed small-format home commands a measurable rental and resale premium of 12 to 22 percent. If your studio is a rental or short-stay investment, our Airbnb interior design service designs specifically for occupancy and nightly rate.

What to do right now: ask for proposals itemised by zone: sleeping, living, kitchen, workspace, bathroom and joinery. A single-figure quote for a studio tells you nothing about where the money goes.

Three real studios, three completely different briefs

Portfolio photos show finished rooms. They do not show what each studio was actually for. Here are three.

The JVC studio, 450 sqft. Brief: host four people without apology.

The dining zone was designed as the studio’s centre of gravity instead of an apology squeezed beside the kitchen. Custom banquette seating with storage inside, a table that seats four comfortably, and lighting that shifts the room from workday to dinner in one scene change.

The Dubai Marina studio, 520 sqft. Brief: weekdays an office, weekends a hotel.

Two identities, one room. A work zone with acoustic-friendly finishes and a screen position planned against the glare path, and an evening scene where the work wall closes behind joinery and the lighting rebuilds the room as a suite.

The Business Bay studio, 480 sqft. Brief: increase rental yield to 9%.

An investor brief, not a taste brief. Materials chosen to photograph well for listings and survive tenant turnover, zones that read instantly in a 10-photo carousel, and joinery that makes 480 sqft list like a one-bedroom. Design decisions here are yield decisions.

Your studio has a brief too, even if you have not written it down yet. Tell us how you live from 7am to 11pm and our residential interior design team in Dubai will build the concept around exactly that.

The five questions that identify a real studio design specialist

Ask these in every consultation, in this order.

  • “Show me three completed studio projects under 600 sqft.” Not one-bedroom apartments, not compact villas. A firm with genuine small-format experience can show three without reaching for proxy work.
  • “How do you define zones without walls?” You want to hear about furniture scale, lighting layers, level changes and joinery, not about room dividers and rugs.
  • “What custom joinery solutions have you used in past studios?” Joinery is where studio design is won or lost. The answer should be specific: what it did, what it cost, what problem it solved.
  • “How do you design lighting in an open-plan studio?” Lighting is the primary architectural divider in a studio. If lighting appears at the electrician stage of their process, zones will never truly exist.
  • “Tell me about a studio project that didn’t work initially.” A firm with real experience has a specific, honest answer. We do, and we tell it in the first meeting.

We welcome all five questions from every client, and as an interior design company in Dubai we would rather be chosen on scrutiny than on photography.

What to do right now: write these five questions down before your next studio apartment interior design consultation in Dubai. Use them with every firm you speak to, including us.
