Kitchens sit at the centre of a home, so the work often reaches into neighbouring rooms. If the project grows into a wider interior renovation or a full fit out, the same team carries it rather than handing you to another contractor.
How to choose a kitchen layout for a Dubai apartment or villa
Layout is decided by three fixed things: where the drainage stack sits, where the extraction can run, and how much clear circulation the room allows. Everything else is preference.
- Galley works in narrow apartment kitchens where services run along one wall. Keep at least 1.1 metres between runs so two people can pass.
- L shape suits open plan apartments because it leaves one wall free for dining or seating.
- U shape gives the most worktop per square metre and suits families who cook daily with help.
- Island needs roughly 1 metre of clearance on every side. In a two bedroom apartment a peninsula usually gives the same benefit without blocking the room.
- Closed wet kitchen plus open show kitchen is common in villas where heavy cooking has to stay behind a door.
In a studio apartment the kitchen is part of the living space, so the brief shifts toward concealment: handleless fronts, an integrated fridge, and a tall unit that hides the everyday clutter.
Which kitchen materials survive Dubai conditions?
Dubai kitchens face constant air conditioning, coastal humidity and strong daylight. Material choice decides whether a kitchen still looks new in year five.

Run this list on site before you sign off. Each point takes a minute and each one is expensive to fix after the team leaves.
- Every door and drawer aligned, with an even gap top to bottom
- Soft close working on all doors and drawers, including the ones you rarely open
- Worktop joints tight, in the right place and colour matched
- Silicone lines clean and continuous at the wall and sink
- Sink and tap with full pressure, no movement, no leak under the trap
- Extraction pulling properly with the door closed
- Sockets reachable with the appliance in place, not behind it
- Light falling on the worktop instead of on your back
- Drawer interiors finished, not raw board
- Appliance manuals, warranties and material care sheets handed over
Anything on this list that fails at handover should be corrected before final payment, not added to a snag list that drifts.
How should you budget for a kitchen in Dubai?
There is no fixed rate for kitchen interior design in Dubai because the same footprint can carry a laminate kitchen or a stone and veneer kitchen with imported appliances. Budget by component instead of by square foot.
Split your number four ways: joinery, worktop and splashback, appliances, and services plus installation. Joinery and appliances usually take the largest share. Services grow quickly the moment plumbing or extraction has to move, which is the single biggest reason kitchen budgets drift.
