About Hotel Suites Diner, an Art Deco Luxury restaurant design at Delhi, India

Hotel Suites Diner is an Art Deco Luxury restaurant design at Delhi, India. The plan holds a main dining floor with a curved velvet booth centrepiece, a bar and booth zone alongside, and a live performance zone with a stage folded into the wider dining plan.

The palette runs teal blue on the velvet upholstery and banquette booths, brushed gold on the shelving frames and pendant fixtures, marble across the round tables and the main flooring, and deep burgundy on the joinery bases as an atmospheric accent.

The main dining floor anchors around a curved blue velvet booth wrapping a marble round table at its centre. Square pendant lights hang overhead in a considered rhythm, and marble round tables with cream leather chairs sit across the wider floor.

The bar and booth zone sits along one edge with tufted teal banquettes facing marble tables. A gold framed back bar shelving unit carries the glassware and bottle display, and a planter box divider softens the transition between the bar and the wider dining floor.

A live performance zone holds a C-shape blue velvet booth wrapping a stage backdrop. Dense globe pendant clusters hang overhead across the performance zone, and the seating is positioned so the whole booth faces the stage as its atmospheric focus.

Nothing about the plan reads standard restaurant interior design. The lift came from the art deco palette held with discipline, the curved velvet booth as sculptural centrepiece, and the live performance zone as the atmospheric anchor of the wider plan.

How we designed this

Studio profile

The brief was for a luxury dining destination that could hold multiple atmospheric registers inside one continuous restaurant. A main dining floor for the working service register, a bar and booth zone for shorter visits, and a live performance zone for the evening entertainment programme.

The intent was sophistication over spectacle. A restaurant that reads distinctive on arrival, carries a signature centrepiece that gives the plan its identity, and lifts the everyday dining experience into a considered evening destination.

The palette was to hold art deco luxury as the base. Teal blue velvet upholstery, brushed gold on the shelving frames and pendant fixtures, marble across the round tables and flooring, and deep burgundy on the joinery bases as an atmospheric accent.

The seating was to hold fully upholstered comfort as the priority. Plush banquettes and booths across the plan rather than standard restaurant chairs, with the curved velvet booth in the main dining floor as the sculptural centrepiece of the whole restaurant.

The live performance zone was to be integrated into the plan rather than added as a stage room. The C-shape booth wrapping the stage, dense pendant clusters overhead, and the seating arrangement giving guests a natural sightline toward the performance.

Read as considered restaurant interior design at this scale, the real request was a luxury dining destination with distinctive atmospheric registers held inside one plan.

A restaurant with a live performance zone fails immediately when the stage is treated as an afterthought. The performance zone has to be planned as architecture from the first drawing, and the seating, sightlines and acoustic considerations all have to be resolved before the wider dining plan is set.

The curved velvet booth was the primary sculptural discipline. A wrapping booth around a marble round table reads distinctive when the curvature is proportioned to the room, and it turns into service inefficiency when the arrangement is treated as a decorative move without a plan for the service circulation around it.

The art deco palette carried the second constraint. Teal blue, brushed gold, marble and burgundy across a whole restaurant risk turning theatrical the moment the palette lands without discipline, and the base had to hold the composition together for the accent tones to earn their place.

Multiple atmospheric zones inside one continuous plan carried the third challenge. A main dining floor, a bar and booth zone, and a live performance zone each carrying its own atmospheric register, while sharing enough design language that the visitor reads them as parts of the same restaurant.

The lighting scheme carried the last discipline. Square pendant lights across the main dining, globe pendant clusters over the performance zone, and softer bar lighting alongside, each layer doing a distinct atmospheric job without competing for attention across the plan.

Euphoria Interiors resolved the plan by treating the curved velvet booth as sculptural architecture and letting every other decision defer to it.

The main dining floor settled around a curved blue velvet booth wrapping a marble round table at its centre. The curvature was proportioned to give every seat a natural sightline toward the stage without turning the booth into a barrier for the service circulation.

Square pendant lights overhead mark the atmospheric centre of the main dining floor. The pendant rhythm was planned across the whole floor rather than positioned around individual tables, so the ceiling reads considered rather than accumulated.

The bar and booth zone sits along one edge of the main dining floor. Tufted teal banquettes face marble tables with slim black chairs opposite, and a gold framed back bar shelving unit carries the glassware and bottle display against a deep charcoal wall.

A planter box divider softens the transition between the bar and the wider dining floor. The divider carries live greenery at eye level, and it marks the boundary without ever sealing the volume between the two zones.

The live performance zone holds a C-shape blue velvet booth wrapping the stage backdrop. Dense globe pendant clusters hang overhead, and the seating is positioned so the whole booth faces the stage as its atmospheric focus.

The shared design language stitches every zone together. Teal blue on the velvet, brushed gold on the frames, marble on the tables, deep burgundy on the joinery bases, and the guest reads the whole restaurant as one continuous scheme rather than multiple separately designed rooms.

The result is a restaurant that reads distinctive on arrival and considered on every return, which is what an Art Deco Luxury dining brief at this scale is worth committing to.

Frequently asked questions

How do you design a restaurant with a live performance zone as part of the plan?

By planning the performance zone as architecture from the first drawing rather than adding a stage to a finished dining plan. At Hotel Suites Diner the C-shape blue velvet booth wrapping the stage was designed as one integrated composition.

The seating faces the stage as its atmospheric focus. Every seat in the booth has a natural sightline toward the performance area, and the dense globe pendant clusters overhead give the zone its distinct atmospheric register.

The acoustic considerations were resolved at the layout stage. The performance zone is set within its own architectural pocket of the wider plan, and the soft velvet upholstery, marble surfaces and considered pendant density help balance the acoustic environment for both dining and listening.

That coordination is what turns a restaurant with a stage into a considered live performance zone, and it is the specific quality a luxury dining destination at this scale is worth committing to.

Why choose a curved velvet booth as the sculptural centrepiece of a restaurant?

Because a curved booth turns a routine dining floor into a considered architectural moment. Straight banquette runs read as service infrastructure regardless of the finish quality. A curved velvet booth wrapping a marble round table at its centre carries the register of a sculptural centrepiece the plan is organised around.

At Hotel Suites Diner the curved booth in the main dining floor is the primary architectural moment of the whole restaurant. Every other decision in the room defers to it. The pendant rhythm overhead, the surrounding table layout, and the sightline toward the stage are all planned around the booth as the atmospheric centre.

The curvature also does the practical work of comfortable seating. Guests seated around a curved booth face each other naturally rather than sitting in a row, and the conversation dynamics feel more social than they would across a rectangular table setting.

That combination is what makes a curved booth worth the additional joinery discipline it requires, and it is the specific quality a luxury dining destination is worth committing to.

How does an art deco palette work in a luxury restaurant without turning theatrical?

By committing the palette decisively while holding the material base in strict discipline. A theatrical art deco restaurant uses the palette on every surface. A considered art deco restaurant uses the palette at full intensity on the atmospheric elements while the base holds a controlled material register.

At Hotel Suites Diner the coloured atmospheric elements are the teal blue velvet upholstery, the brushed gold fixtures and shelving, and the deep burgundy on the joinery bases. Each of those decisions is committed at full intensity across the plan.

The base holds marble across the round tables and main flooring, cream leather on the chair upholstery, and deep charcoal on the walls behind the back bar shelving. The material base gives the atmospheric elements somewhere to sit inside.

That discipline is what stops the art deco palette from collapsing into a themed set, and what makes the register read as a considered luxury dining atmosphere rather than an accumulation of decorative moves.

How do multiple zones sit inside one continuous restaurant plan?

Through shared material discipline and a distinct atmospheric register per zone. At Hotel Suites Diner the main dining floor, the bar and booth zone, and the live performance zone each carry their own atmospheric identity.

The shared material language holds them together. Teal blue velvet upholstery runs across every zone. Brushed gold appears on the fixtures and shelving. Marble carries the tabletops and the primary flooring. Deep burgundy on the joinery bases repeats as a design motif.

The variation lives in the register. The main dining holds the sculptural curved booth as its centrepiece with square pendants overhead. The bar zone carries the working service register with tufted banquettes facing the marble tables. The performance zone drops into a denser pendant register with the C-shape booth wrapping the stage.

That combination is what allows one continuous restaurant to hold multiple distinct atmospheric experiences without any of the zones losing their place inside the wider plan.

What defines an Art Deco Luxury restaurant design at this scale?

A signature architectural centrepiece committed decisively against a disciplined material base. An Art Deco Luxury restaurant is not a restaurant that uses many decorative moves. It is a restaurant that uses one or two atmospheric moves at full intensity while the rest of the plan holds the discipline that lets those moves land.

At Hotel Suites Diner the atmospheric moves are the curved velvet booth in the main dining floor and the C-shape booth wrapping the stage in the live performance zone. Both are committed at full intensity across the plan.

The material base carries the discipline that lets them land. Teal blue velvet upholstery, brushed gold fixtures, marble surfaces and deep burgundy joinery bases. A considered mix of pendant lighting registers across every zone.

The result is a restaurant that reads memorable on the first visit and considered on every return, which is the specific quality an Art Deco Luxury dining brief at this scale is worth committing to.
